The ERMN solution is to digitize your library and make it accessible and searchable over the Internet. Editech will digitize your videotape library in a permanent form that can be exported in any tape or file format. There will also be other versions of the video in Quick Time, Real Player and Windows Media Player.
Through a link on your web site, you will be able to search for video by typing in a title or date. Or you can search by word or face recognition. The system will pull up a list of videos once you have type in your search criteria. When you find the video you want, you simply click on the quality of the video you need - VHS, Beta or Master quality - and click on the order button.
The video is then sent electronically to the ERMN appliance at your location. Depending on the length and resolution ordered it could be at your location in a matter of minutes. This cuts out duplication, packaging and shipping costs. You can then play the video on the ERMN appliance or make your own dub to play elsewhere. If you do choose not to use electronic distribution, Editech can duplicate tapes ordered on line and ship them out the same day.
ERMN is a form of insurance. Most libraries have only one master tape of each program that is stored at one location. This makes the library vulnerable to floods, fires or any other forces of nature. If your masters are destroyed, your information is lost - permanently. ERMN will archive your library in two locations. The first is located at Editech in our archiving system and the second is at another location miles away. If something happens to one of the archives we always have a backup.
